Join the Albany Township Historical Society as they view The Fries Rebellion produced by the Lower Macungie Historical Society in anticipation of America250 celebrations to be held nationwide in 2026.

In this docudrama, places and events of the Fries Rebellion are seen through the eyes of a modern schoolgirl. Audiences of all ages will be entertained and informed about an insurrection that occurred in 1798-1799, primarily in the German-speaking populations in and surrounding the “Lehigh Hills” region of then Northampton, eastern Berks, upper Bucks, and upper Montgomery counties of Pennsylvania. Several of the scenes will be feature original sites that still exist, including the Red Lion Inn (formerly Enoch Robert's Tavern - Quakertown), Jamision Publick House (formerly Conrad Mark's Tavern - Geryville), Hendrixson's furniture store (formerly John Shymer's Tavern - Shimersville), Buckeye Tavern (formerly Henry Shankweiler's Tavern - Macungie), 1760 House (formerly Peter Trexler's Tavern - Trexlertown), Commix Hotel (formerly Martin Ritter's Tavern - Allentown), and the 1758 Sun Inn (Bethlehem).

Join Cetronia Ambulance Corps as they celebrate 70 years of service! The night will feature casino games, a raffle, silent auction and wine pull, one drink ticket and cash bar, and a live DJ! Guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a buffet-style dinner with a carving station, and desserts as they celebrate 70 years of serving the community. Don’t miss this special milestone event!

Christ Church at Lowhill is thrilled to invite you to their beautiful indoor light show synced to music, featuring a special visit from Santa, amazing freshly baked cookies, and various other yummy refreshments. (Anyone want some hot chocolate?!)

 This year, we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary, and we’ve added a few special surprises you won’t want to miss!

At the Weisenberg-Lowhill Township Historical Society. Create holiday memories for children. On Christmas Morning, they will be so proud to give their personally-selected gifts to everyone around the Christmas tree.

All items $1 to $4 each.

Toys, books, jewelry, holiday décor to vintage items. Something for every interest and children of all ages.

Our elves will assist each child and gift package their unique selections... almost as cozy as shopping from the comfort of home. Society store will also be open.

All proceeds benefit children's activities at WLTHS.

Store and Little Shopper's Village will be open starting at 5:00 p.m.

Artisans selling their handcrafted wares will be set up in the outbuildings.

Collecting for Lowhill Food Pantry...non-perishable goods and monetary donations are always appreciated.

Meal includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, side salad, dessert, bread, and drink. Walk-ins welcome and take-out available.

The Cookie Exchange for Shut Ins is once again coming back. Ziegels Union Church asks that members bring at least 3 dozen of their favorite Christmas cookie to the fellowship hall. All cookies will be packaged in boxes and distributed to shut-in members. Closer to the date, we will provide a list of shut in members who would appreciate the cookies and enjoy your visit during the holiday season.

Let’s all join together in this meal to be thankful and give a special thanks to our Veterans.

We will be making potato filling in the church kitchen on November 9th at 9 am. All are welcome to join us.

Potato filling will be sold for $6 a quart. Please email ziegelsfellowship@gmail.com with any questions. There will be a sign-up genius coming soon if you are interested in donating ingredients.
